The story of our Bakery

Daniel’s Bakery was founded in 1959 by Daniel Handalian, who along with his family, grew and operated the business for over 40 years, while always maintaining the highest standards of excellence and quality.

In 2006 Daniel retired, selling the business to Wanda Silva, who, along with her family, is continuing the tradition of providing the best bakery goods made from the finest ingredients and baked fresh daily.
In addition to traditional cakes and pastries, Vanderleia has brought a taste of Brazil and South America to our beautiful location in Brighton.
At Daniel’s Bakery everything is baked fresh daily. All of the fruit fillings used are made fresh by us on-premises, as are the frostings, fillings, custards and whipped cream.
